Cookie Policy
This policy explains how the Kelu website uses cookies, and how our apps use similar technologies. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help a site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage, software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers, do comparable things inside mobile apps.
A note on our apps
Our mobile apps do not use browser cookies. Instead, they use device storage and SDKs to keep you signed in, remember settings, deliver notifications, and report crashes. These are covered in our Privacy Policy under device data and service providers.
Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the website to work, for example, keeping you signed in and keeping the site secure. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
Performance & analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, for example, which pages are visited and where people run into trouble. We use Google Analytics for Firebase for this.
Functional
Remember choices you make, such as your preferences, to give you a smoother experience.
Targeting
We do not currently use targeting or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Third-party cookies
Some features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies or collect technical data, including our payment partner Paystack and our maps provider Mapbox. We do not control these cookies; please review each provider’s own policy for details.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, parts of the website may not work properly. For apps, you can manage permissions (such as notifications and location) in your device settings, and clear app data to reset stored identifiers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website and tools change. The latest version will always be on this page with an updated date.
