Rider Agreement

Last updated 27 June 2026 Version 1.0 Applies to Riders

This agreement sets out the terms on which you provide delivery services as an independent Rider using the Kelu platform. It is between you and ED’S GO LTD. Please read it carefully before going online.

Acceptance

By completing onboarding and accepting deliveries through the Kelu rider app, you agree to this Rider Agreement, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the rider app.

Independent contractor status

You are an independent contractor. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship between you and Kelu. You decide when and whether to go online and which offers to accept. You are responsible for your own taxes, levies and any registrations required to operate, and for complying with all applicable laws while delivering.

Eligibility & onboarding

To ride with Kelu you must:

We may verify your details, decline an application, or pause your access pending checks. You must hold only one rider account.

Going online & accepting offers

When you go online, the app may offer you nearby deliveries. You can accept or decline. Once you accept, you commit to collecting the item from the pickup and delivering it to the drop-off shown in the app, keeping the customer informed through the app’s status updates. Only collect from and deliver to the locations in the order. If a customer asks to change a location, handle it through the app where possible, as the fare may change.

Your responsibilities

Prohibited items & conduct

You must not knowingly carry prohibited or illegal items (see the Prohibited & restricted items section of the Terms of Service). If you suspect an item is illegal or unsafe, do not carry it and report it to us. You must not request tips as a condition of delivery, discriminate against any customer, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

Zero tolerance

Tampering with a customer’s package, theft, carrying prohibited goods, or unsafe or threatening behaviour will lead to immediate deactivation and may be reported to the authorities.

Earnings & the platform fee

For each delivery you complete, you earn 85% of the fare and Kelu retains a 15% platform fee. Your earnings for each completed order are recorded in the rider app. Earnings move from pending to available once the order is confirmed complete and any review period has passed, after which they can be paid out.

Fares are set in the app and may change over time. We will show your earnings per order clearly so you can reconcile them.

Payouts

Available earnings are paid to the Nigerian bank account on your verified profile, via our payment partner Paystack. You are responsible for keeping your bank details accurate; we are not liable for payouts delayed or misdirected because of incorrect details you provided. Payouts are made weekly to your verified bank account, with on-demand cashout available once a day after you have completed your first deliveries (minimum cashout ₦1,000). Any payment-processor charges that apply will be borne by Kelu for your regular weekly payout; a small processor fee may apply to on-demand cashouts and is shown before you confirm.

Ratings & standards

Customers rate deliveries, and we monitor quality, safety and reliability. Consistently low ratings, high cancellation rates, or breaches of this agreement may lead to coaching, suspension or deactivation. We will act fairly and, where we can, tell you what needs to improve.

Equipment & costs

You provide and maintain your own motorbike, fuel, smartphone, mobile data and a suitable, clean delivery bag or box. You bear your own operating costs. Kelu may make branded delivery bags and gear available; where it does, the price and terms are shown before you order, and any cost may be deducted from your earnings if you agree.

Insurance & liability

You are responsible for holding any insurance required by law for yourself and your motorbike. You are responsible for the safe carriage of items you accept. To the extent permitted by law, Kelu is not liable for loss or damage caused by your acts or omissions, and you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your deliveries or your breach of this agreement. Kelu provides goods-in-transit cover for deliveries made through the platform, subject to its terms and limits, and arranges declared-value cover where a sender declares an item's value. This is in addition to, and does not replace, the motor and personal insurance you are required by law to hold for yourself and your bike.

Data & confidentiality

We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You must treat customer information, names, addresses, contact details and the contents of deliveries, as confidential, use it only to complete deliveries, and never share, sell or keep it afterwards.

Brand & intellectual property

The Kelu name, logo and apps belong to ED’S GO LTD. We grant you a limited, revocable licence to use the rider app to provide deliveries. You may not use our brand except as we authorise, and you may not copy, modify or interfere with the app.

Suspension & deactivation

We may suspend or deactivate your account if you breach this agreement, if your documents lapse, if there are safety or fraud concerns, or if we are required to by law. Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell you the reason. Earnings already and properly due to you remain payable, subject to any amounts you owe us or any investigation into fraud.

Term & termination

This agreement runs for as long as you have a rider account. You may stop riding and close your account at any time. Either party may end this agreement on reasonable notice, and we may end it immediately for serious breach or safety reasons.

Changes

We may update this agreement to reflect changes to the platform, the law, or how payouts work. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through the app or by email. Continuing to ride after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State, Nigeria will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
